[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

"Let's find shelter in the city before planning our next step. As House Tharashk have great influence over that city, we should be safe enough, and I don't think any follower of Khyber will be welcome here, so it's not sure they will be hiding within the wall... but who knows."

"Yes," Valahad says to each ally in turn. "We could use a hot meal and a rest in a bed for a change. Keep your eyes and ears open, foes could lurk anyhere here. We can ask around, about the Flamists, see if anyone remembers them or knows where they were headed."

"I second that, Sheeva! I can live dirty when I must, but I vastly prefer being clean. And a good night's rest without rocks and roots digging my back will do much to restore."

Pok looks down at the bile and filth on his clothes, Mundane cleaning won't be enough for me... the crusted nasty causes Pok a great degree of discomfort, Not that we look normal, but maybe disguising ourselves wouldn't be a bad idea... the gnome pulls a tackle box from his robes, separating jars and containers of make-up and different materials of prosthetics.

"Not quite sure why you want to disguise yourself Pok, but I'm too tired, miserable, smelly, and dirty to consider subterfuge. Let's just go find an inn. It's not as if anyone in this rat hole is going to care about us anyway." Sheeva says wearily.

Kortauhk shakes his head along with Sheeva. "Yah. Tired. No need war paint for no fighting. Peoples find place what for sleep," he finishes with an extended yawn, arms stretched out above him. "What be Inn place? It have bed and stuff? It need...mmm, what you peoples call it... oh yeah! It need money? Kortauhk not have much money."

The goliath fishes into his pack and pulls out the measly two gold coins that he owned, holding them out to Sheeva as if he didn't know quite what to do with them.

Sheeva walks up to Kortauhk and pats his arm.

"That's ok Kortauhk. We'll make sure that you get a nice big bed. Put your gold away before you lose it."

Kortauhk places the meager amount of money back into his backpack and shoulders his shield, thinking it unlikely that they would get into a fight in the middle of the city. With a anticipatory sigh of satisfaction, imagining what the bed would feel like, the goliath banishes his armor to its extra-dimensional pocket space and he sheathes his sword. He grins a Sheeva and gives her a big pat on the back.

"Sheeva do good in fight! How Sheeva learn throw zap-zap and make big boom? I no see nature spirit be next to Sheeva."
