[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

Not hearing the conversation taking place in the crowded tavern, but seeing the orc point directly at him, Kortauhk gives him a big cheesy grin and waves. As he does so, he hears thunder rumble in a cloud directly over the tavern and this makes him grin even more. He wasn't sure what exactly it was, but something was guiding him onward toward his destiny. He would go wherever the storm went, but he had a good idea that his companions were taking him exactly where the storm wanted him to go.

"We are five, that's include that big fellow and the girl next to him. The fifth doesn't like much to show in public. My name is River. I'm a follower of Arawai, member of house Jorasco." replies River.

"As soon as possible... but you want more men? What do you know about the Khyberist that could help us on that trip? I think you've met them once." asks River.

Listening carefully, Sheeva finally walks up to the man. "I don't mind having more men to help as long as they are capable fighters. But I also don't want to lead men to their deaths because they don't know one side of a sword from the other. Plus from what I have heard, I suspect it will be difficult to convince others to go with us. From my experience, one has to clean out the hornet's nest before the workers will come back to the field."

"Naw, it gonna find anyone foolish enough ta sail upriver right now, the drow's got it right, if you can cause some trouble up there, maybe that'll get a few more souls brave enough to clear out the rest" Glasur says "Asides, my boat ain't too big, it'll be fine, but more than y'all and it'd be in trouble" he adds.

The group has a chance for any final preparations, the rations supplied earlier on will likely hold out on the journey north. The orc then leads you towards the smaller docks area to the north of the city. In comparison to the bustling southern area, with the dragonshard trade still thriving, the north docks are nearly abandoned. Where a dozen boats might have once moored, one a single 35-foot cutter floats "Blacksnake" etched on its prow. The boat is sheltered by a central awning, a raised tiller deck behind it. Glasur moves to the prow and begins untying ropes as you climb aboard. The boat has no mast however. But even as you wonder whether Glasur expects you all to row against the current, you see movement in the foaming water. Two pike-like fish half the length of the boat thrash there, both creatures harnessed to the ropes Glasur is setting. "River’s slow this time of year," the orc calls. "Been a while since my girls got a chance to run. We leave when you’re ready. It'll take us a few days to make it deep into the Khyber country, ya did right coming by boat, they've swarmed the easier routes on land."
