[Adventure]: Turning the Tide (DM: Dimsdale, Judge ??)

GM: Got it. However, please mention it in your post, even if you said that in a previous post. it makes it much easier for me to keep track of things. I don't want to have to search for it.

...and that would have been my first unconscious victem as a DM...shoot :)

I'll make corrections
OOC: Got it, I'll try to remember that in the future.

OOC:
If someone has a standard action to spare, I'd appreciate someone using a heal check to get me to use my second wind. That would allow me to try for another attack. Of course that is gambling on a successful heal check and a successful attack roll.

OOC: Can I get a clarification on Ignus's hit points? Is he dying now? I have the ability to heal with a hit.... of course I missed the last time I tried it.... but I can also grant THP with a hit if needed. Is someone going unconscious without a heal or THP before they get their turn?

Eva tosses aside the empty potion flask, shattering it against the unholy altar. She then reaches into her backpack, withdraws yet another potion, and drinks that one. The draught gives Eva just enough awareness of her surroundings for her to fire off another force missile at the zombie.

[sblock=Eva actions / stats]Start of turn: Eva was at 13/32 at the end of her last turn. She takes 5 cold damage from the aura and 5 ongoing cold, so she's now at 3/32 hp.

Move: Eva withdraws another Potion of Healing from her backpack. I don't remember how many she received in this adventure (I'll have to look it up later), but in any case she has one available that she looted in a previous adventure.

Minor: Drink the Potion of Healing. Eva gains 10 hp and loses a surge, so she's at 13/32 and 4/8.

Standard: Magic Missile vs CB1 autohits for 8 force damage. (Eva's heal modifier is a pathetic +1, so I didn't want to risk activating Ignus's second wind. Hopefully we can kill the zombie in this or the next round.)

End of turn: Save vs ongoing 5 cold suceeds. (1d20=13)

OOC: The zombie missed Ignus as a result of my Aegis, so he'll actually be at 10 HP, same as you and me.

OOC:
Well, as it stands now I think we all fall unconscious in two rounds so it might not be worth it to use a standard to try to get me to use my second wind. I didn't realize we were all in the same boat as it were.

Ignus is clearly on his last legs as he lets out a final assault on the zombie finally cracking enough of the ice to get to the gooey center. In retribution of killing it explodes, knocking Ignus off his feet where he lays groaning. Merri is also caught in the blast for her trouble of helping to flank the icy creature.

From Ignus' prone form a weakly, whispered "...worth it..." is heard before he lapses into unconsciousness.

OOC: Actually, Merri has DR 3 against the CB1, so she only takes 9 damage!

Merri is just about to stab the zombie again when Ignus bravely makes a last attack and deals the final blow. The zombie explosion knocks the poor Ignus to the ground, but Merri fairs slightly better.

"Oh no!" The maiden gasps, "What did you do! Wake up, Ignus! Wake up!"

Merri rushes to his side, blowing into his mouth like she has seen people do before. Nothing changes from the kobold. She looks up at Eva and Graven, "Help me! He's so cold!"

[sblock=actions]

Damage reduces her to 1 hp.

Start of turn: Enduring Soul: Regeneration 4

Move: Next to Ignus

Standard: Heal check: 8

Graven walks over and kneels beside Ignus before slamming a fist down on the kobold's chest, as this is something else he's seen people do to help a dying person. This does not help, and you think you might have heard a rib or two crack as well.[sblock="Heal 5"]http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3710961/[/sblock]

Eva winces as Graven slams Ignus in the chest. "How brutish!" she remarks in shock at the display. "Here, let me try to revive him. I think one of my spell components can help..."

The elf kneels down to the fallen kobold and sets down her backpack beside him. She then rummages through her pack and, after what seems like an agonizingly long time, pulls out a handful of some type of salt compound. She waves her hand in front of Ignus's face and the salts thankfully work as expected. The extremely pungent smell pulls him to his senses.

OOC: It's a DC 10 to activate someone's second wind, so Ignus should be up and about now.
