Merri's confidence rolls off her in palpable waves, "Let's take out the bad guys before the other ones come back!"
Eva nods decisively and says "Right?! You've got to love it when they split up like that."

Not waiting for the consensus of the entire group, Eva strolls around the corner into plain sight of the messenger and the dragonborn brute.

"Eat necrotic doom, bad guys!" she screams at she raises her staff. A wave of black energy immediately bursts out of the brute, but he stubbornly resists its effects. The messenger, on the other hand, is caught in the wave and sustains some minor wounds.

Move: Walk to Q14.

Standard: Darkening Flame vs Dragonborn Brute (probably) misses Reflex 12... (1d20+9=12)
--Free: Elven Accuracy to reroll that. Now it misses with a 1! (1d20+9=10)
Effect: In any case, the messenger takes 5 fire damage.

Merri runs forward with her allies and smiles and confidence, a beacon of encouragement.

OOC: Since she ended the encounter with 3/2 surges, she heals for full and has 2/2 surges now. I'm not sure about the map or how far I can go this turn.

As the magic missile of the embeds into the back of the messenger he doesn't make a sound, just turns and smiles wickedly, with his dark eyes flickering from the the touch light that surrounds the cavern space.

You...you sssshould have learned to meddle with your own affarirsssss and ssstay out of thosssse which don't conccccerrnnnn you! Now you will all dieeee!!!

Slowly the messenger begins to change. The closes begin to rip as the messenger begins to grow in size. Skin turns to scales as the messenger finishes his transformation into a large BLACK DRAGON!!!!! (not nearly as big as the one that you saw earlier, but still a dragon non the less).
