As far as gods, I think it's anything goes.

I know you like the flavor of the archivist, but have you considered playing a cleric of Thoth (or any other deity with the Knowledge and Magic domains)?

Also, mechanically speaking, that double use of your 18 Int is good news, and you'd lose that as a cleric.

Admittedly, your other starting stats are pretty great too, but that doesn't mean you will get any more 4-level boosts or gold for buff items.
