Advice on a half dragon fighter

My calculations may have been off a tad because I was trying to put a lot of information in the response.
Maybe not, that's what I'm trying to figure out, since I'm really not worried about optimization most of the time. ;) I imagine a reliable source of buffing could help a lot, though.

I played a half-copper-dragon fighter a few years back (starting, incidentally, with ECL 6) and it was a blast. Really one of my favorite characters. I realise that it is not the strongest character you can build, but it is a fun character.

Grappled? No problem! Whoosh! Aughauhgragh....

You could go for the Dragon Devotee prestige class from Races of the Dragon.
Its five level progression but with nice features that work well with a fighter.

I am going to go for a half-gold-dragon Warblade (Tome of Battle). And use the Progressions that Runestar mentioned earlier.

So Half Dragon 2 / Warbade 4 for an ecl of 6.

I shall only have three feats but my DM has said we can use flaws so I might take one or two to get further feats.

Now I just need to decide upon feats and weapons.

If you're looking for Flaw suggestions, I can offer Shaky (-2 with ranged attacks) and Inattentive (-4 to Listen and Spot checks).

A Warblade does not often need to switch to ranged weapons, in my experience, so that's not such a bad area to be weak in. And a touch of preening narcissism is just the thing for ignoring one's surroundings - to better keep an eye on looking sharp, of course.

Given any thought to what you'd like your character to be able to do? That'll guide your feat and maneuver choices better than suggestions I could make based on mere utility.
