Level Up (A5E) Advice on encounter building?

I very recently started a new O5e campaign, and after reading over the Level Up Monstrous Menagerie, I'm planning to use it as my primary source for monsters and encounter building. I particularly like the elite monsters. I've already updated my encounter building spreadsheet with all of the rules and I've noticed that it's calibrated a bit differently from O5e and PEL (which is what I previously used for encounter building).

I was wondering whether those of you who have experience using it have any advice? Best practices? Things to watch out for?
