Advice on what Kingdom of Kalamar setting material to pick up

$10 is way too much to ship 3 modules a few hundred miles IMO.

Depending on the modules, it should now only be $8. (Of course, you're probably saving $25+ on the price...) I'll check the store software. :)

edit: I've done some calculations and made some tweaks to fix the shipping cost.

Thanks for the heads up! I picked up the core book, atlas and (what I assume) is the monster manual. I've always wanted to get Kalamar, but I'm rather glad I waited! I was a bit disappointed that the player's guide wasn't part of the sale, but I really love the fact that you can get a printed copy of it by request. If only the 3.5 Tome of Horrors had had that option...*sigh*

If I love the Kalamar books as much as I think I will, then I'll definitely spend $40+ on the player's guide. Just out of curiosity, of course, does anyone have a copy of that book through "Lulu"? Wondering if the books are put together well...

I must have gotten mine after the fix. Paying $32 and change (after shipping) for the Campaign Setting Sourcebook, Atlas and Dangerous Denizens books is a steal! So much so that I'm willing to pick up a hardcover of the Player's Guide to the Sovereign Lands for over $40, because when it all evens out, it's still less than $20 per book.

Thanks for the heads-up on the sale. Just ordered the campaign setting book, the monster book, and the DM Screen. Shipping is a bit rough, but still a great deal.

Now, if I could only afford to pick up the Hackmaster books at the same time...

Definitely lots of good stuff.

I recommend the modules, espeically the Coin Trilogy, its one of the best series of mods put out for 3E and really gets you involved in the setting.

I ran it in another setting, and the setting flavor of the mods had me give serious thought to using the Kalamar setting. OF which I own many books, including German versions I can't even read. (Kenzer Christmas grab bag is why). :D

Sorry Mark, I was going to order a bunch of modules, but I agree the shipping is rediculous.

Is there any way you can use the USPS shipping boxes that are $8 and change irregardless of weight? You can likely fit my entire desired order in one of those, and cut my shipping cost by more than 50%.

I too am disappointed that shipping costs stack irregardless of several books being sent in a single package. So I only ordered a Hackmaster GM Guide. Otherwise I would have also ordered a few more things.

I recommend any racebook (Strenght&Honor, Fury in the Wasteland, Elves&Bugbears, Gnome&Kobolds, Dark Elves) as well as Secret of the Alubelok Coast as crunch-light fluff-heavy great sourcebooks. Even the races I`m normaly not interested in got me hooked after reading the books ;)
