Advice: Smuggling firearms

You could always spend a couple Gadget points and have the weapon cloaked.....

If that's not an option, ceramics would be the best bet. Remember "In The Line of Fire" with Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich? The assasin (Malkovich) uses a ceramic/plastic gun.

Have the character trained in fighting with a cane. They actually make fighting canes, they don't really look any different from mundane ones, and are totally legal everywhere. They have to let you on a plane with it too. After all, you can't discriminate against the handicapped, right?

Make it look like something else. This could be a form of the use of the disguise skill. Like making a rifle look like a cane, it is not a gadet, just made to look like something else.

Disclaimer--If anyone from the law enforcement community is following this discussion, these suggesions are for entertainment purposes only.

Inside the body panels of a vehicle. They normally check those for drugs and illegal immigrants, but not a pistol or two. If the dogs don't hit on it, they probably won't give it a second thought.

In a case of mechanical parts. What's one more piece of metal in a box full of metal stuff.

Alternatively, take an engine block of some kind and modify it with a secret compartment. You should get a cubic foot or so of good storage space. You can just claim you need to deliver it to some racing company. In all likelyhood, customs isn't going to ask you to fire it up and prove it's a real engine.

It shouldn't take too much of a favor check to get one small diplomatic pouch.

Also, which country's customs are we talking about? I'm assuming US, but I know there are folks here from all over.

Or you could do what that disabled guy did in Aliens 4: Ressurection and make the gun pieces look like parts of your wheelchair.

(I swear, I think I'm the only guy who liked that movie)

You can tuck a "CIA letter opener" in your sock. It's a "knife" made of fiberglass reinforced nylon, totally undetectable as it contains zero metal. It is very tough and will hold a decent edge. There are few variations out there like the "delta dart", same concept but a triangular blade (more like a spike). I have both and they're great weapons.....for Spycraft, of course.

You know....this is exactly the kind of pseudo-subversive crap that could just get a bunch of guys in black suits knocking on your door.

Have fun.

Ask the Registered Conspiracy Theorist;) ...

Well, here's what I d...I mean, here's what I could do if I were to smuggle a gun through the airport...

I would disassemble it, then, place the pieces in a compartement with lots of other metal bits (like coins), to mask the X-Rays and Metal Detectors.

Alternatively, you could place the pieces in a hollow metal cane...

have fun:D

Just for the record, I want all those FBI/CIA agents reading this thread to realize I only posted here to let people know I liked a movie about aliens. I don't know any of these guys.
