After Almost 9 Hours of Playing D&D...

I have a regular friday game I play in. Old school 1st edition but I have fun so I play. It's in an online forum that you pick the games you want to play and I recently switched back to another DM that had done a special quest that defuncted in the past.

Unbeknownest to me, my character was infected with lycanthrophy. Yes, I remember he got bit (and nearly eaten) and then turned to stone by the bad guy to vex the person in the party who was hunting him. Well I got help in being unstoned by someone who refused to reveal themselves. Silly me figured the lycanthrophy had been cured as well. Nope. I even bought belladonna but never took any (stupid me...I should know better with this DM).

After that fell apart, I had my character adventure under a different DM for awhile. Through all the full moons, he never made the lycanthropy manifest, keeping me further clueless.

Switching back, my character story had digressed to my character being a drunk. So I thought nothing of the DM having my character wake up in a field puking his guts out sick not remembering the past few days. On the next night, my chatacer got violately ill as sunset came. I roleplayed the crap out of being sick. Most of the party didn't see my distress until my character passed out. Then more werewolves attacked.

When the werewolves ran off, my body was gone and they were none the wiser. They IMed me with 'where are you?". I certainly wasn't going to tell them that the DM tell me I was dreaming of sinking my teeth into their tender flesh. Deciding to get a little payback and staying in character as a werewolf who doesn't recognize what he's doing, (they acted like they were having a tea party on the road when we had people after us in the first place) I followed the werewolves back to attack the party and the jig was up. The DM told me to RP away and I rolled dice to randomize who I would attack.

I preceded to make every saving throw fomr any spells they threw at me until finally someone's magical sleeping dagger worked. They noticed the armor on my werewolf body. Tying me up, we fast forward to dawn and I revert, not remembering a damn thing and thinking the party is nuts for telling me I'm a werewolf.

Seriously, this DM does this stuff to me because he knows I won't get uber ticked that he's 'messing' with my character. All in all it makes for a good story (which I love). Just another example of not taking it too seriously and yes, I've played this character for quite a awhile now and he's my 'favorite'.

Werewolves Are Always Fun!

Greetings!

Your character sounds very cool, Kastil! :D

The Campaign sounds interesting, and fun!

Semper Fidelis,

SHARK

awesome!

I did this once. player liked it.... party didn't. Player was pressured by the party to get help which he did. I made the cost of being cured worse than the original curse however. Its always fun to be a slave for a Pit Fiend in disguise.
