Against the Storm, ReRecruited Thread

Yeah, the issue was with being far away or not. Now you are a good ways away while all this is happening...

Rahja and Danilo work on waking up the others. Meanwhile, the two women strike before the Talosans. The one with the gemmed staff takes a deep breath and blows on the tip of the staff. Sand flies out, and wisps around the Talosans like little mini sandstroms focused on each of them. Their skin becomes gaunt and flaky, and you hear them choking. The one with the dragon staffpoints it forward, blasting each of the Talosans with arcs of electrical energy. All the Talosans fall to the ground, sucked dry, practically into skeletons, and combusting in areas from the energy of the lightning.

Meanwhile, the six guards disappear, and reappear right around you guys. They do not get the chance to attack.

Ines meanwhile casts Mage Armor.

Obviously having no means to escape those guards and fighting being nothing but suicide, there is only one option left...

Come!

With that she casts one of her last remaining Dimension Door spells on the defensive, touching Danilo and the halfling, as well as one prisoner, that is awake, if there is one (otherwise just anyone), and transports them right between the two women in front of the building.

I hope you are friends... we need your help!

To Danilo: If you have the means to command them... tell them to stop following us and head back inside the building and await further commands there!

The creatures greedily move on the helpless prisoners and Danilo. Their faces suddenly change, their eyes becoming red and slanted, fangs appearing, and their face lengthening into a hard, feral, visage. Each one goes for the neck of an unconscious prisoner, biting into them and sucking as they all disappear. The others grabs and overpower Danilo, and they disappear as well...

The drow says "Nice moving. Who are you and how did they get you?"

"Erk!" is all that she can say as she's grabbed once more and pulled through yet another dimention door. I'm really getting tired of this! she thinks as she straitens herself out once more, when the lady lets her drop.

Ines looks around for anywhere to slip out of sight, and heads quickly under the nearest wagon, keeping an eye on the legs of the people. This has got to end! They seem to find us with uncanny accuracy. I wonder if they have marked any of our items. she thinks as she makes sure that the wheel/axel, anything is between her and the rest of the people. Knowing that the talls con not see her from their angle, she attempts to shrink behind the wheel, to further hamper their sight.

Damn them, bastages! All I want to do is get away?! I surely can not be THAT important for them to mark and chase! But evidence suggests otherwise! She then looks across the street, on the other side of the carrage to see if there are any other ways out of this trap.

It looks like the blinking guys are gone.

OOC: Was this before Rahja's last spell or afterwards then?

The drow says "Nice moving. Who are you and how did they get you?"

Rahja shakes her head, looking around nervously. Are they gone now? Let's head out of here... I don't want to meet those again... ever... Oh, my name is Rahja, they caught me in Waterdeep and I woke up here... Thanks for your presence... nice coincidence!

Rahja then turns to the halfling. So, what's your name then? And do you want to come with me to the surface, or do you prefer to stay here?

OOC: So, the only ones there are the two females? Anyone else? What about the 10 guards and the cleric? That would leave a total of 13 talls for little Ines to be frightened of. What about the other side of the street? Anywhere to go?

Ines looks at the woman from beneath the wagon, only seeing her legs and answers by mouthing (hoping that the spell she had cast on her before still worked) "I don't trust them... and how can you? One a Drow, one a cleric of perhaps the plague god, and then there are 10 more guards!? No, I think I'll make my own way, unless you can reasure me?" the last question almost a plea as the halfling slides further from view. "Thanks, by the way."

Whispering back via the still running Message spell. I do not trust them, but I have no other choice. At least they did kill those Talosans, so I guess they are not that bad after all. And they seem powerful enough, that we wouldn't get away anyways... I told you, that my spells are almost depleted now.

"Killed who??" she mouths back. I must have missed something! Ines thinks as she replies back to the odvious mage. "Fine, I'll go with you, if they offer to take us out of this hellhole, but I think I'll keep as much distance between me and them.
