Age of Mythology or Warcraft III?

I'm trying to decide which one to get. Which do you think is more fun? I'm mostly interested in the skirmish modes, but haven't played either.

Have you played Warcraft II or Age of Empires? Warcraft III and Age of Mythology play almost exactly the same, respectively.

Warcraft III games tend to be a little quicker, and focus a bit less on resource gathering/management.

Age of Empire requires, IMO, a little bit more strategy to play, and the music is very nice.

Either way, I think you'll be pleased.

I'd get Warcraft III. IMO, it's by far the better of the two games (although Age of Mythology isn't a bad game by any means).

You can't go wrong with either, but how about Rise of Nations?

What he said. Warcraft III and the Frozen Throne expansion is the best stategy game ever.

I went and picked up Age of Mythology, what a blast! The God Powers and Myth units rock! I'm partial to the Greeks right now, under Hades. And there's nothing like watching one of your Cyclops' throw an enemy war elephant back into their troops!

I also picked up Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic (haven't installed it yet) and Freedom Force. Played a little bit of FF, that looks pretty cool too. Does anyone know if skins of Marvel superheroes are available on the net?
