Herein lies my problem with Mialee. Elves are supposed to be beautiful, yet she's ugly. Her head is misshapen too. When I think of elves, I think of Elmore's paintings of such great characters as Laurana and Gilthanas. Heck, the elven female in the DMG showing off her elven chain is quite beautiful too. But not Mialee.

No, you've got it only half right. Elven GUYS are beautiful, the woman as a rule all hide their faces, except for the few noteworthy women who look fantastic. In LotR, we saw 2 elven communities, but only saw a few women. The rest had to hide behind the trees or stayed indoors.

I guess that's just not true in D&D - Elves have no bonus to Charisma, anyway. Probably the artist looked at Mialees stats and saw "Charisma 8" and decided she must be ugly.

Well, if we're lucky, she is an Evoker or Necromancer and kills anyone who points out her looks.
If we're unlucky, she is an Enchanter. *shudder*

I hope they don't create art that way. Hitler, by most reckonings, would have a VERY high charisma, but I don't really see him as a handsome man or pretty boy.
