Holy crap. No metallic dragons in the 1st MM. What about Iron/Adamantium? I guess they'll be in MM2 and Draco2. I can live with this but I'm surprised it's happened.

It's also nice to see some none positive opinions from Massawyrm. It adds balance to the review. However the bad seems very after thoughty which means they come across as unimportant, that being said they are very small things. Looks like I will be using minis for 4th, but then I was expecting that and have been using them more and more in 3.5.

Yeah, I imagine some people will grown from that. But perhaps that is why the first Draconomincon is only Chromatic?

The minions though sound like they are a lot more interesting then first suspected.

That's the thing that has me concerned.

The absolute use of minis. I'm wondering just how many powers/feats require the use of minis?

For example, in 1E/2E, as a fighter, I rarely needed to know exact positioning. Just general distances (namely is it melee range or not). True, if I was playing a spellcaster, you pretty much needed minis but as a player, you could ignore the rest of the board when playing anon-spellcaster PC.

It seems like all of the powers for the non-spellcasters need the use of the minis to a certain extent.

For example, the ranger, I think at 1st level doesn't seem to require mini-use as its abilities seem easy to visualize without depending on minis whereas the rogue we saw, I think I'm going to need to know exactly where everyone is.....

Looks as though the Tactical aspect of the battles are going to be a biggie in the game, Not a bad thing, I just hope it does'nt take away the RPG aspect of the game too much.

I use mini's in my game at the moment, and it slows the game down a bit, as oppposed to not using mini's. It just makes me wonder if they are, specifically trying to tie it into to using Mini's therefor increasing mini sales.

I still believe no minis will still be an option...

...you just have to live with inacurate distances like ever before... actualy IMHO all of the abilities on the pregen chars are more easily used without minis...

... and when fights became too crowded, i can use dice as minis, simple as it is^^

Meh, I use a grid but I don't use mini's I use good old Tokens :D Which is why I really hope there is some kind of Token-program in DDI where you place the Tokens you want (each Token is the monsters from MM's and D/D articles) on a grid so it can be printed out at proper size.
