Aiming with an analog controller...what's the trick?

Comments about strangling coworkers aside, I'm not really talking about anything that isn't public knowledge. Anyone who hits the website can watch videos of the gameplay and read official stuff about classes and races, and while some of that stuff isn't final, it gives a fairly clear indication of how things are going to feel. As long as I do that (and as long as I talk in very careful terms about anything in the game that I'm not happy with*), I'm not in any danger of getting fired.

So yeah, I have to walk a line, but I'm not in danger of crossing over it with enthusiastic "Okay, this is kind of broken, but hilarious" moments. Ask me about the story or the release date, though, and I will become suspiciously mum. :)

* They wouldn't mind me talking about stability issues, because every non-sequel game ever made has had stability issues during its development. If I were radically unhappy with the way grenades worked, though, I would not bring it up and rant about it and talk about how sucky it was and what a lame game we were making because grenades were stupid.**

** Grenades are currently fine. Overpowered, but fine. And the overpowered part is going to be addressed, so that the player can't just lob grenades around and waltz through every fight in the game.

Hang on. Is this a console setting, or something to set in the game itself? I haven't seen axis settings in the latter.
It's in the Option menu (usually in the Controller Settings part) of the game itself (well... 'reputable' games, anyways). ;)

It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't included in the demo (thus, my tongue-in-cheek "too bad for you" comment) since it's just a demo, but it's in almost every FPS-type game nowadays. Certainly almost every FPS - and even 3rd person shooters that use the dual analog control scheme - during the Xbox and PS2 era had those adjustable settings. I'd be shocked if any shooters on the next-gen 360 was missing this now-standard setup.

And, believe me, it does make a world of difference.
