Airwalkrr's Greyhawk D&D 3.5 - Maure Castle OOC

So is it completely impractical for me to have a lance as an "Ancestral relic" then? A single sunder attempt would instantly destroy any lance, unless it was just the tip of the lance that holds the enchancements, and could be retrieved and affixed to a new haft without an extensive amount of work. (Outside of combat of course.)

Remember that the biggest chunk of hit points comes from enhancements, even for adamantine weapons (they only get +33% hit points, so +1 or +3 from being adamantine ;)).

I've moved past it. I took vicous off the lance, changed my ancestral relic to a large +1 keen adamantine falchion. I still have a +1 large lance for my charge, but then I can switch to my sword with a 25% chance for a critical threat.

Appearance:
This interesting fellow is quite a sight to behold. His very
dark complexion is acutely accented by hi s dazzling, strait
long platinum blond hair and light grey eyes. What makes his
face even more striking is the fact that is completely covered
with a web of very faint cut and burn scars. Nothing disfiguring
mind you but like a tattoo on black skin it tends to make people
stare harder to try and see the pattern. The fact that he rides
atop a strange Scaled worm does nothing to detract attention either.
He wears a brilliant set of mithral full plate and is attended by
a floating shield of equal quality emblazoned with the symbol
of his deity. His oversized lance crackles violently with purple
energy intermittently.

Background:
Out of the deep southern deserts this warrior rides on the back
of an ashworm covered in massive spiked scales. Sand pours off
the armor as they emerge from beneath the dunes together.
Roshan came from the nomadic tribes of ashworm herders of a land
nobody thought could sustain life at all. Knowing how to ride
and tame the worms is in his blood. As a strong boy it was always
known that he would be a protector of his people from the back of
an ashworm. His armor being polished by the abrasive sands,
he rose quickly through the ranks of his family’s great defenders.
When his people were laid low by a disease that claimed all but
the few protectors that were immune, he had no reason to stay
there any longer. The dragoon took up his family's lance and
set out to explore the world beyond. Along the way he found a
small group of companions that came to be his new family and

Appearance: As an ashworm of such an advanced paladin/dragoon,
Ulan's scales are exceptionally thick and barbed. Her color is more

Not a bad choice, Lances are kinda unwieldy and thus not always useful. ;)

The Falchion has 36 hp only, though. 10 base x2 for large x1.33 for adamantine +10 for the enhancement.


Adamantine has 40 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 20.

But...

Weapons, armor and shields normally made of steel that are made of adamantine have one-third more hit points than normal.


Also, you might want to consider the Weapon Group (Bows) instead of Weapon Group (Shield Bash) now.

Just trying to imagine how that "large boot dagger" might look... :lol:
Well a dagger is typically 6-9 inches long. In RL I have a RamboIII knife that has a 14 by 3 inch blade and hangs from my knee down to my ankle in its sheath, so something like that. A pair of those big, knee-high plated boots can more than accomadate a big blade :p
 

I actually wanted to ask Vertexx.... how is your character able to use large weapons... especially large two handed weapons?.... I don't see that you have the monkey grip feat or anything like that.... is there something about the character I'm missing?

That would be the "Strongarm Bracers" My only item from MIC.
