Brisarion removes the Silver Key of Portals from his beltpouch, and approaches the doors.

OOC: I'm assuming Jallarzi told us how to use the key?

GM: According to Jallarzi, the key merely needs to be touched to any portal that cannot be opened by ordinary means to be used.
Brisarion touches the Silver Key of Portals to the massive doors and they begin to creak and moan as they slowly swing inward to provide ingress. You see beyond the doors is a hallway. It opens up widely to the left and narrows down to a ten foot wide passage to the right. Directly across from the doors you see another narrow ten foot wide passage way continues on to a single door about forty feet from doorway of the massive doors where you stand.

Brisarion replaces the artifact in his pouch, and slides Vile Silencer from its scabbard. With his blade and shield ready, the cleric steps cautiously forward, glancing to both the left and right to ensure there is no immediate danger.

Silhouette reaches out and takes the cleric by his shoulder, checking him from moving forward.

"Let me," she suggests, and kneels at the doorway, peering at the floor. Doors were very popular places to put unpleasantries.

Brisarion waits as Silhouette checks for unpleasantries, his eyes sweeping the area ahead to make sure nothing charges at them from out of the gloom.

Silhouette examines the hall before her and finds it rather dull. The area ten feet beyond the doors looks clear of any traps. The granite floor is smooth hewn and lightly covered with dust but otherwise appears unremarkable.

There are only three directions to go from here. You can turn left into what appears to open into a much wider room. You could go straight ahead towards the door at the end of a short hallway. Or you could turn right and go down the narrow hallway which seems to end at a T-intersection about 60 feet away.

Brisarion pauses a moment to chant the words of a prayer. As he completes it, his darkwood shield flares momentarily with a silver light. With a nod, the cleric begins to move to the left, where the chamber widens. "What say we go this way? There is more room to keep from getting bunched up."


Cast Magic Vestment, duration 12 hours, +3 enhancement bonus to shield, raising Brisarion's AC to 29.
