Yes, alot of Deities that aren't in the SCAG, the Seldarine more then doubles in size roughly, the Dwarfs nearly have as much growth, Gnomes and Dark Seldarine gain a fair amount of deities for their size, and Halflings gain one, Charmalaine, bit she sounds cool. Also in the Monster side we learn of two Derro deities, Vaprak God of Trolls (I think he was mentioned in VGTM), maybe others. There is also the Unknown dead God that the Githyanki leave on, but that doesn't count really, and the Zerths believe Zerthimon will return as a God, I don't know if Zerthimon counts.

Vaprak and the derro gods have been around since 2e at least (they are in Monster Mythology), if not before. Vaprak is also the deity of ogres, and, as you say, is mentioned as such in the giant section of Volo's Guide to Monsters

The person who asked was comparing it to the gods listed in the SCAG. If comparing them to past editions none of the Gods are new, altered yes, but none new.

They come from Dragon Magazine, Races of the Wild, Races of Stone, Greyhawk, 1 is the Elven part of Sharess (Zandilar) from FR and the Yuirwood Pantheon, and Vulkoor comes from Eberron.

Some had FR ties in the original Dragon Magazine Write ups, but we're ignored by FR writers, others we're setting neutral from Races of the Wild and Races of Stone, a few we're Greyhawk Gods, 1 Greyhawk, and one is well Zandilar has a very strange story which this book makes odder, but let's just say she is the only God who is both a Member of the Seldarine, Faerunn Pantheon, and Mulhorand Pantheon thanks to something Vhaerun did. Zandilar is also Selvetarm's mom, but that is not mentioned in the book. Researching the background of these Gods are interesting, although you really don't get a lot on any of them, barely anything on a fair amount though.
