Albany Gameday VI - Sept. 9th - Thanks for coming

Alright, then. You said you would help me with choosing a date, so here goes:

I'm thinking March. That would preserve the 6-month spacing between gamedays. Saturday seems to be the day, so that means the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, or 31st. I don't want to wait too late in the month, so the 24th and the 31st are out. That just leaves the 3rd, 10th, and 17th. Any suggestions?

[EDIT]: The 17th, come to think of it, is out, since it's St. Patrick's Day. The 3rd or the 10th, then.

Early March looks good

I personally am not a sportsfan but it is March madness. Not certain if that would influence evening games / times.

Falls between college breaks which I assume is good. Watching people there it appears there are few young guys that play.

Which is, in fact, why I chose early March.

...as far as you all know.

[EDIT]: Ironically, I am one of those "young guys", being a mere 19 years old... However, since I attend college in Albany, this is a good thing.

[EDIT-2]: March Madness doesn't start until the 15th, according to this site.

By young I mean 10 or less. I think only one child at the store the entire 6-7 hours I was there. Not sure if it was the gaming interest or there just are not many younger players in Albany.

Ohhhhh, I gotcha. Yeah, no, I think it's more a lack of maturity. At age 10 or younger, the average person does not possess the requisite maturity or, well, attention span to take part in a roleplaying game. Now, this did not stop me from playing D&D when I was 7, but it did prevent the game from making any sense (since we traded off the DMs chair). I don't think, at that age, I could have engaged in a serious game of D&D, despite my being a rather precocious child. But, I could be wrong.

I saw about 5 or 6 kids throughout the day. It helped that I was downstairs. Two were the owners children and the rest were looking for card games. So not much with the role playing.

Looking at those dates I would go with the 10th. The closer to spring the better.
