Albany Gameday VI - Sept. 9th - Thanks for coming

In short, burn out. I enjoy these games days but they are a lot of work to put together and run. I wasn't sure if we needed to run every six months or not so I decided to skip the spring and go right into the fall.

Chances are the spring gameday will return in 2008.

I think the simple answer is, "if you want one sooner, host it!"

Where do you think most of the work is? Honestly, they've never felt like much of a burden to me - but I suspect that's because we have a lot of the logistics worked out already. Heck, the toughest part is cleaning the house.

Yeah, George is a god send. All I have to worry about is cleaning up after the game. Getting DMs to sign up on the other hand is a bit harder. We usually have plenty of last minute people to fill out the games. I don't even have to try and fill games in the afternoon, I know people will show up.

If someone wants to organize a spring gameday I'd be cool with that. I'd even DM something but I need a small break from worring about DMs showing up and preping for two games.

I would host one in a heartbeat, but, the problem is, I live in a dorm, with only enough room for a single gaming group, and then only if they don't mind sitting on the floor. So, my hosting is a no-go.

Hey I would be more than happy to run some games (as in morning and afternoon slots) for a Spring event to let the 'usual' GMs have a break. I've actually slowly been building up confidence to agree to this.

So yeah, if it means anything to ya, I'm a YES vote for a Spring Game Day.

Also I had a blast playing Arcana Evolved. The group was great and the adventure was good. It was a fun experience making a character for a game day event.

I'll a game again. Now that I know where you are I may even try an AM and PM game. Just a matter of the kids.

Now to figure out a Vermont Gameday......

Come to think of it, if George is still receptive to Gameday being held at Zombie Planet, that eliminates the hosting aspect of prep. There is, of course, the DM-finding part, but is there something else to organization? Because, if that's it, or if there is a small-to-moderate amount more, then I could probably handle it, especially if I could sucker I MEAN CONVINCE my girlfriend to assist. Before I commit to anything, though, I really need to know the process.

I know George will host it. I don't think he'd care that much if someone else run the gameday but organizing it is the big thing. That at times can be the fly in the ointment.
