I'm not sure what I'm going to run yet. I'm thinking about an Army of Darkness unisystem game. Of coures, I've tinkered with the idea of running an Exalted game but I'm not comfortable with the new combat system yet or maybe another paranoia game.

Okay, I'm DEFINITELY going to be able to run that Serenity game. "Nothing Ever Goes Smooth" is the final title, and the available PCs are: Captain Malcolm Reynolds, Zoe Washburne, Jayne Cobb, Inara Serra, River Tam, and Shepherd Derrial Book. Those who are not familiar with the show/movie are encouraged to look on wikipedia and other such sites for biographies, though miniaturized ones will be provided with character sheets. I would like players with knowledge of the game already, as I am still learning the system myself, and having an extra set of eyes (or six) to make sure I don't screw things up would be much appreciated. I will have a full description of the premise/objectives soon, but, for now, here's a summary (specifically, the one to provide with the sign-up list):

Your first mistake was trustin' Saffron again. That backstabbing hu li jing ain't ever done good for anyone but her own self. Your second mistake, of course, was crashin' on Shadow, though that goes hand-in-hand with the first one. A few minutes ago, you got a wave from meh lien duh jyah jee herself, sayin' that a scrapper convoy'd be here 'fore sun-up. Kaylee reckons she could get Serenity patched up in time, but you ain't got the necessary parts. Only one place 'round here still has any people, an' that's the Alliance outpost on t'other side of the petrified forest Serenity made into her impromptu landin' strip. If you can get them parts, an' be back within 3 hours, maybe you can keep flyin'.

<For reference, "hu li jing" is a Chinese idiom meaning "homewrecking tramp", and "meh lien duh jyah jee" means "shameless hussy".>

I heard from Stephen Kent last night. He's interested in running a 2 slot Arcana Evolved game called “Remnants of War”.

Basically, this is one game over the two slots and you'll be doing character creation during the first hour or two of the first slot.

I'll have to hear what other games are added before I commit to that 2 slot AE game, as I am strong proponent of Arcana Evolved. But I am definetly interested.

Then use first edition, not like it matters for a one shot.

My understanding is you folks are by a paintball arena. What else is there that is close? Rock climbing?

My wife is willing to go IF there is something for her to do.

If I can I may run a game. It would be a D20 version of X-crawl possibly. As over the top as I can get.

The lasertag arena is right next door. I'm not sure exactly where the closest rock climbing place is.

Just down the road is a nice little mall and is very close to a rather big mall (Crossgates is one of the 20 largest malls in the US, I am told).
