Alias Season 5 Premiere [Spoilers]

I don't think it's clear who was behind Prophet 5. Yeah, that guy who used to work for the CIA and was posing as such, was CIA. But was he originally CIA, or working for the agency behind Prophet 5, who joined the CIA as a double agent?

As for the blonde who beat Mitchell "at his own game", I think it was clear from the ep that she was able to unencode it only because she had access to some sort of database of CIA code keys. Seems a bit sloppy of Mitchell to use something standard, but it wasn't that she cracked the whole code. It was because the baddies were pretending to be CIA and evidently had access to CIA networks and databases.

I'm not talking about the Special Agent Baddie, but Vaughn's dad.

As I understood it, Vaughn's dad's real name was Mishnow (sp?) and he worked on the
Prophet 5 project, decryption of some old text. Then, as they were nearing completion
the Prophet 5 team started disappearing/dying/having accidents. Vaughn's dad as well
as the Old Decryption Guy went seperately into hiding. Vaughn's dad took his family,
or at least Vaughn with him. He changed their names (from Mishow to Vaughn) and
then while in hiding he went on to work for the CIA, ultimately getting killed by
Sidney's mum.

So while hiding from people with connections in the Pentagon he worked as an agent
in the CIA. A job he got, by the way, with a fake name.

Ghad. This show strains me sometimes. :p

Yeah, that's my understanding of it.

Meh. I watched it. It's the same stuff they've always done and it's just not that interesting. I'll keep watching to see what happens but, at this point, it's just boring and predictable.

Edit: Here's something that bugged me. The OSI agent who came in, the one who ended up being the bad guy. AFTER he is revealed to be bad, someone says "I just got off the phone with ... and the agent is rogue."

NOW you get off the phone with your boss?! This guy has been barking at you guys for at least a week and NOW you talk to your boss about it? That was just stupid.

 That's almost exactly what I said at the end of the episode!
