Alien Invasion - Anyone have this?

It's a modern take by that definition. This is entirely based in current conspiracy theory; War of the Worlds, for example, pretty much means the conspiracy is over (although the show tried to retrofit the 50s idea of War of the Worlds into the 90s conspiracy).

All the sources I used for this book believed that what they were writing about is real. Examples are included in the book: the entire set of Majestic-12 documents are an appendix.

It was fascinating to discover that the X-Files is the entire alien conspiracy (with the Black Oil thrown in, something I haven't found in the rest of the UFO folklore). And if you know the alien conspiracy, you know how the X-Files will eventually end. Or should end. :)

Hmmm... a search for "MJ-12" on the Coast to Coast website delivers hits as recent as November 20th 2005, where a guest discussed arguments for and against the documents at a Chinese UFO-ology convention he had recently attended.

There were also two other hits from 2005 and one from 2004. There were more but my curiosity was satisfied that MJ-12 is not old news to the UFO conspiracy community.

Looks like it's not so fad-ish to me for those interested in UFO-ology.

I guess it's sort of akin to how in a movie review by Roeper, he "insightfully" points out that "nobody plays D&D anymore".

Not the entire set of Majestic 12 documents. That would make for a book in and of itself. I don't even know how many of these documents are out there, to be honest with you.

Oh sorry, just the set I have in that case. Which is substantial. :)

Honestly, no one can really say they "have the whole set" since there are many documents alluded to/missing.
