Alien Quadrology specs

This from the guy who really enjoyed the D&D movie! ;)
Dude, that's a pretty heavy cross you're bearing there:
you seem to bring up the D&D movie every chance you get. ;)

If you'd like, you could start a thread debating it's merits, but I'd just point you to the (long-gone) thread(s) that I've already proven (IMO) how it doesn't deserve the rep and scorn it's got.

It's a FANTASY movie, with dragons and such.
Before FotR, there were few fantasy movies of any quality, yet people singled out D&D as a stinker, ignoring all those 80's movies? Sheesh.

Aliens is the main reason why I might think of getting the Quadrilogy, but only if it gets cheap enough.
Krug, I highly doubt it's going to be $100.

I think the quintessential example of this kind of movie would be The Ninth Gate.
I think you meant to say: The quintessential example of this would be Roman Polanski -- until The Pianist made it all better...

:D

The only thing that bugs me - No commentaries from Sigorney Weaver anywhere on any of the DVDs. Won't stop me from buying it, tho. The extras that are there look awesome. I will most likely pick it up at a place like amazon.com where the price will likely be ~$75. And for 9 discs that is a STEAL. :) I don't own either any of them in any format so this is a perfect set for me. I'll watch Alien, Aliens and Alien3 but I will most likely pass on watching Resurrection unless I am REALLY bored.

EDIT: Amazon has it now for 69.99. Wow. Pre-ordered.

EDIT2: I missed the Sigorney Weaver commentary for Alien bit. My bad. This is now the perfect set...
