Aliens vs. Predators as a D20-Campaign. Need Help...

Dougal DeKree

First Post
Hi there!

since watching Predator 1&2 (again) lately i wondered if i could put up some campaign with the chars being stuck on a lousy colony between Aliens and Predators.

The System should be D20, because the players are familiar with it so i settled to using D20 Modern. I think it can cover everything that can be seen/read in the movies/books/comics.

Now i only had D20 Modern for a week or so and am not sure if what i want to do is possible without too much work - i don't even know if all players would like such a setting respectively non-fantasy at all.

Would someone share his opinions on this? Did anyone already create D20-Conversions(stats) for Aliens, Predators, Marine-Equipment or similar? (I know, Creature Catalog, i'll post there, too...)
Should i wait for D20 Future? Or just throw the idea away and think about something else?

I am looking forward to reading your view on this.

You must go to Michael Tresca's page. Full conversions to d20 modern of Predator and Aliens, as well as Lord knows what else. The man is a bloody genius (albeit one with too much free time)!

Hi Dougal,

no need to wait or even throw the idea away! :)

ENboarder Talien has already done the work for us and made the results freely available! (Not to mention that he's done really first-class work on them! )

"Predator: Cazador de Trofoes"

"Aliens: Game Over"

Both .pdfs are available from the freebies section of his website.

Hahaha, you guys are too much, thanks!

Anyway, once we get closer to the movie's release (in August) I think I'll combine the two into one gigantic .pdf.

P.S. I only write those Freebies when I don't have paying gigs. :)

You guys make me happy!

What can I say? 2 hours after my post all my pleadings have been heard, answered and my thirst for information is more than quenched!

John and Douane - thanx for replying so fast (and even with a link! Wow! :) )

Talien: You are da man! On the first glance the material seems to be exactly what i was hoping for (and more!) and my colleagues here at work looked at me strangely when i went to the printer, chuckling evilly the whole time. What a read this will be for the easter-holidays!

If my parents were faithful people it would be like: "Mum, lemme read on, please - this has to do with eggs, so no easter-mass for me, ok?!" ;)

You will get a report here or via email how my players fared in this setting!

And now i go home too early to start reading...

Thanx again!

You deserve the accolade!
Your work is very good!!

BTW: Anyone try tossing in Terminator?

Just wondering. I played the AvP & Terminator CCG's when they were still being made. You could combine the 2 games to have a major free for all type battle royal.... :)

Aargh,

look at the Kraut failing his read/write english roll! :D

As for tossing them in, why not? That's the beauty of having the data for all of them available for one system. :) (Provided, of course, your poor marine players don't feel too outmatched after the latest addition. ;) )
