All-night gaming?

Also, be aware that plenty of goofiness is gona start creeping into the game around 1 am, with such words as HADOKEN!!!!!!!!, the quotes from the Summoner video, and names like Sir Honorable. It's just gotta be accepted and edited out when you write of this in your memoirs.

Every session we have runs from 5pm to 4am. We always plan to end at midnight, but it never happens. Right now we are only player every other week and the players want to accomplish as much as possible every session.

We eat early and drink lots of soda. Eating later really seems to make it harder to stay awake.

Being a non-smoking group we don't usually have more than a few minutes of down time as players use the restroom. Keeping the game going really helps to keep everybody from getting bored and tired.

Too much chocolate will make you feel sick...

Very simply, my friend, you're wrong. This never happens - mainly because there is no such thing as too much chocolate. Never. Ever. Ever ever. It makes me nearly weep to think about it...

For the last semsetr I've been out fo college and still running a game there we've basicly gone with the all night session as our standard MO. I have a 4 hour drive to run the game, so I can only make it every other weekend and we typicaly have a lot of ground to cover (only one day gets devoted to D&D, since this is teally the only time I see my friends). Start after brunch around 2 and run the game until one of the players passes out, typicaly 8-10 AM the next day.

I have no clue what it takes to do this, though. It's nearly 5AM now and I'm here posting. My motto's always been sleep is for the weak. (Though I prefer my freidns "Ill sleep when I'm dead these days")

The other players typicaly break off and grab som soda / snacks around 4am, which I've found to be a good idea, just because DMing makes me thirsty.

Our weekly saturday night game usually lasts from 19.00 to 4.00 or 6.00. I don't particularly stock up on coffein, I stick to Ice Tea. What keeps me awake is my concentration as the DM, I usually don't get tired as long as I am busy. I would think the players have similar routines, since I usually keep them busy aas well, and we rarely have a sleep attack during play.
