D&D 5E (2014) All the new Mechanics from the Fall 2016 UA

Hi all,

As I was going through the new Druid Circles today it hit me that they have been introducing quite a few new mechanics in these paths, and I thought it would be worthwhile to document them for discussion. I've listed a couple below and will continue to edit this post with new ones as the UAs come out, as I look back through the first three, or as you post them in the thread. I'm a huge fan of the cooldown mechanic introduced by the Circle of Dreams Hidden Paths feature, which inspired me to create the thread.

Mechanic: 1d4 Round Cooldown on an ability
Similar to: Short Rest/ Long Rest Mechanic
Why it's different: A bit of randomness to the cooldown period, while essentialy creating a "once per combat" type of feature
UA Source: Druid/ Circle of Dreams/ Hidden Paths Class Feature

Mechanic: Energy Pool Class Level Die
Similar to: Hit Die
Why it's different: It's a pool similar to Hit Die but used for other mechanics instead of self healing
UA Source: Druid/ Circle of Dreams and Circle of Twilight/ Balm of Summer Court and Harvest's Scythe

The barbarian Auras used a different calculation method, don't think we've seen 1/4 level mentioned anywhere else before.

The ten-minute bardic charms is also different, as they specifically called out acting normally, but something magical occurring, and they don't reveal you tried to do magic to your targets.

Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
