Kai Lord

Hero
As recently posted by Shadowstar, here are the new ones:

Level 1
Protection from Chaos
Lesser Restoration

Level 2
Bull's Strength
Eagle's Splendor
Owl's Wisdom
Resist Energy (perhaps a renamed Resist Elements)
Zone of Truth

Level 3
Daylight
Magic Circle Against Chaos
Remove Curse

Level 4
Break Enchantment
Mark of Justice
Restoration

Freedom of Movement has been removed.

Very nice! I particularly like having Zone of Truth and Mark of Justice on the list.

Good choices. Paladins desperately needed more 2nd level spell choices, and the anibuffs are good, basic choices. I like the addition of Remove Curse and Restoration, for flavor purposes as well as power.

Uh. I think that list is BS. It further defeats the purpose of taking a bard. Looks like everybody's casting spells these days.

Uh. Paladins have always been spellcasters.

And you can't tell me that any of those spells are inappropriate for a holy warrior of Law and Good.

I mean, what are you that upset about?
protection from chaos?
eagle's splendor?

yeah, those aren't paladin-y spells at all.

daylight? If it's that important to you, you're getting it 7 levels earlier than the paladin.

remove curse and break enchantment? So why isn't the cleric the problem?

You don't even get any of the others.

Sorry...I'm just not seeing it.

Don't forget that what was posted as just the additions. So it is a fairly full spell selection. And, in addition to that, paladins really don't get that many spells per day (nor spontaneous casting)...

So, if you're going for magic ability, bard would win over the paladin any day (more selection, more spell slots, spontaneous casting).

just my two cents anyway.

Well as SL lover of paladins, all I have to say is some good some bad, but no one can bet a Coreanic paladin able to cast all of Corean's Body spells! :D ;) But then that's just me. (For those not familiar with what I'm talking about I mean Limbs of Endurance, Heart of Valor, Hand of Justice, etc from R&R1)

Interesting they took out Freedom of Movement... that was one of the spells I'd always keep handy.

It's the list of additions to the spell list. In other words, I don't think they took out FOM.
