Exactly. It's a wonderful little ritual. And, with the huge boost to duration, it can actually be, for the first time now, useful for its intended purpose. Me really like.

Regards.

What sort of stats does it have? Can it carry enough/last long enough to make a decent wizard's tower shield? Is it cheap enough?

I dunno about you guys, but when I read that ritual I decided its "intended purpose" was to cart around the wizard sitting atop it.

Use a move action to move it up to your move speed? Yes, please. It's not an invisible pack mule, it's a mount.

I mean, come on -- which is cooler: walking through the dungeon and getting your robes all mucky or floating around perched on your invisible throne while your minions trudge around you?

You only use move actions when in combat, so it just follows you the rest of the time, when you get in combat either you can move it or you can move yourself... It's a MULE, not a mule. ;)

I've always thought that a floating disk is best used as a mobile ballista platform.

the only problem with using tensers as a movement method in 4e is that you can't shift with it. Since it is a special case (use a move action to MOVE(not shift) your speed)

So here's a question- pit traps

an illusionary floor would drop the disc, in fact, if it has the same function as 3e, would pop it out of existance because it got more than 3 feet away from the ground.

What about a canvas covering a pit? considered ground?

If not, what about a weakened floor?

As a DM, my answers for those two questions are- can it support the smallest and lightest of standard pc races (halfling)? If so, it counts as ground, if not, pop!

It can carry more than you can, mageling! Assuming you're not one of those freakish wizards with a strength of 25.
