OOC: Knowledge: Occult was an 18. (Yeah!) And can he decipher the Latin writing? After all, he can speak Latin. Or would it need a check? If so, its a 14.

occ for psychic mind flayer: it's not latin, it's italian. it means "except than in fighting, there's no beauty anymore" (even if it would've been "... non c'e' piu' bellezza", so i'm not 100% sure about the translation... ).
Solari is italian so he needs no roll for that.

occ2: Antonio looks around the room for random bits of information that might not be evident: little holes in the wall, small booknotes hidden under the bed, rings in cupboards, that kind of stuff. i think you might want a search roll...

"i think we have looked into this place for enough time now. why don't we take a break and go somewhere to discuss the findings and decide what is the best course of action to undertake? Father Cromwell, I also have to discuss something with you, too. In private, if possible."

Professor Douglass will search the room with the other men, looking for clues to Tibor's troubles. He will peruse the cyrillic titled books and pour through the notes looking for those key words that will stand out.

Shane doesn't bother searching for anything else, figuring that what he found may be more than enough. Besides, the others seem to have pretty well torn apart the room looking for anything worthy of their attention.

The book safely tucked inside his jacket, he say to Antonio, "I have something to discuss with you in private and as soon as possible."

after searching for 10 minutes, Antonio moves towards the door.
"I am sorry, but I really need to use the toilet. Shane, you seem to have nothing to do. Mind coming with me? while I use the toilet, you could ask the good lady downstairs if it would be possible to have a cup of tea. I am ready to pay for it, naturally!"

after going out of the room, moving down the corridor in search of a toilet, making sure that his voice is low enough not to be heard by undiscreet ears, Antonio asks Shane what the matter is.

Once safely away from the others, Shane reaches inside his coat and pulls out the book. "I found this tucked in among the news clippings. I'm afraid it is outside my areas of expertise but it certainly looks important. I figured you might have some idea what to make of it. If not, maybe Father Cromwell will?"
