 They killed Anna! Gary flipping out over that was good. (And it kinda brought home his autistic nature more, I think. The focus has often been more on the "functional" part of his autism...)

The ending kinda reminds me of the endings of the last Heroes season. But I hope it leads us to a new series. One thing I dislike these days is that all these mystery/sci-fi/fantasy shows set in the present manage to hide all the mysterious wonders from the public. I want a show to explore the changes this comes with.

If these shows are really set in the Eureka/Warhouse 13 shared universe, does this mean changes for these two as well. (or are they cancelled anyway? If so, could this mean this will be part of their respective's finales?)

Eureka and Warehouse 13 are definitely in the same universe, and Eureka will be bowing out in 2012. AFAIK, Alphas is in its own unique setting.

I was sad that Anna died too for I was hoping to see more of her relationship with Gary since he is my favorite character on the show. I cannot wait until the next season starts.

It's interesting you mention this, because my one concern about next season is what I like to call "The 4400 Effect."

4400 was a show about almost exactly this - people kidnapped from the past arrive in the present with superpowers, and everyone knows about it. The show's producers were certain they weren't going to get a second season, so they threw out their big "show mystery" as the finale - that people from the future did the kidnapping/giving of powers. Of course, the show went on for more seasons, and they had to deal with that. What became clear as the show progressed is that they had put very little thought into what came next. There were few coherent storylines, few answers, mostly random stuff thrown against the wall. By the end, the show became a shadow of its former self.

The opposite, of course, is "The Fringe Effect," put most simply by two characters: "Sometimes answers lead to more questions." Fringe handles game changers with regularity and to good effect.

I'm hoping for Fringe-style, and fearing we'll get 4400-style.

Artie's girlfriend Dr. Vanessa Calder (Lindsay Wagner) appeared in the Alphas episode Never Let Me Go.

I'm glad Alphas is coming back. I love this show - it scratches an itch the Heroes never quite reached for me. B-)
