Alter Self and Share Spell with familiar

1) If I cast Alter Self directly on my Tiny familiar, can I change him into a stirge?

2) If I Alter Self into a dwarf and share it with my familiar, does he become an identical dwarf?
2a) OR can I turn into a dwarf while he becomes a stirge?

1) I believe so.
2) No, I don't think so because I believe that Alter Self's limitations should be based on the traget as if he had cast the spell on himself with the caster's casting ability.
2a) Yes

Of course if Alter Self's limitations are based on the caster not the target then the answers would be.
