Ugh - I may have to get both now?! I'm planning to buy the boxed set from @FitzTheRuke when it is available in 2025. If it comes in an alt-cover version I think I will do that. Might pick up the regular covers in Beyond only. But nostalgia is pulling me strongly to standard DMG cover. I do wonder what the MM will look now.
 

This cover is absolutely gorgeous. the quiet menace as her victim is drowned in webs, just pitch-perfect.

I have no idea how people see this as "static" or "nothing happening" she is mid-weaving this dude.

Also, cool detail I haven't seen people mention yet, to the left of the dude, she is pulling something that looks like a magical sword out of the web. My first thought was Holy Avenger, due to the golden radiance, but either way, it is clearly the unfortunate soul's weapon, which now belongs to Lolth.

Some people like action scenes a lot. I do not at least in the cover with stupid looking posing.

Lolth is also fairly iconic vs generic dragon and adventurers.

I would be fine with a group sitting around a campfire fire.
