Imperial British Coinage (lost only thirty years ago to decimalisation) is fun, simply because it isn't a decimal system. Even more fun if you add slang and ancient coins.
farthing = one quarter of a penny
ha'penny = one half of a penny
penny (from now on abbreviated [d] (because it was originally denari))
groat = 4d
tanner = 6d
shilling (s) = 12d (coin also known as a 'bob')
florin = 24d (2s)
half crown = 30d
crown = 60d (5s)
pound (£) = 240d (20s) (aka a quid)
guinea = 252d (21s, or £1/1/-)
