Alternatives to Loremaster class

One of the characters in my Savage Tide game is a wizard concentrating on languages, knowledge skils and subtle rather than blasting spells. He's looking for an interesting Prestige class which follows this cautious, well-informed concept.

Can anyone suggest something other than the Loremaster (DMG)?

Divine Oracle perhaps?
Lots of divination spells and improved caster level and save DC for them.
at 2nd level gets evasion (sort of 6th sence)
use with insightful divination for MASSIVE initiave modifiers!

Unseen Seer if he has the skill ranks for it (might require a level or rogue or something though)

Prestige Bard (from UA), perhaps?

Say what? Loremaster gives full spellcasting advancement, and requires nothing that would cost caster levels.

Either I missed the irony or you mean he is searching for a PrC that lets him loose some caster levels? Because the Loremaster surely doesn't.
