How are you getting Hex through a feat in the 2024 rules?

I'm not sure i can sell you it as the only damage cantrip, there are just too many ways for it to be useless.Apologies buried in text. Sell me on poison spray.
Again, people are doing what they want, not necessarily what WotC allows. Rule 0.Which 2014 feat allows the taking of Hex? Magic Initiate did, but it has been re-written, and the rules don't allow you to take-the-version-you-want...
Sure, but that line of argument makes any discussion of rules pointless.Again, people are doing what they want, not necessarily what WotC allows. Rule 0.

But i could definitely see it as a pair. Possibly using it 70% of the time, with sorcerer's burst as the other 30%.
And I do wonder about mind sliver as well, for being the most accurate with Int being low. Or quicken mind sliver + heightened finger of death.

With ‘reverse compatibility’ can you not pick and choose what you want?Sure, but that line of argument makes any discussion of rules pointless.
Truestike has an 80' range, 360 with disadvantage.May be excessive. True strike+ ranged is really all you need most of the time imho.
Depens on the party too.I've stopped caring about danage and int is best save to target so I'll use true strike/mind sliver combo as go to for relevant classes.
