amazon: Confessions of a Part-time Sorceress: A Hip Girl's Guide to the D&D Game

It should be called Pizza and Grape Soda for the Gamer's Soul, or Crockpot Hamburgers for the Gamer's Soul or Chinese Takeout for the Gamer's soul, in my experience. I eat plenty of things when I game, not a whole lot of them are healthy.
It sounds like an advice guide for a younger lady who wants to start playing RPGs to me, but is intimidated or worried about one of the bajillion things a noob in a male dominated scene could worry about.

Did you go to the page linked in the OP? If not, go there, and tell me how you rate the material found there.

I rated it a 1, because that was as low as the rating system would allow...it is more appropriately a zero due to lack of information...or negative due to initial impressions of the product from the information provided.

I would consider that a thorough review. If you want marketing, at least write a product description or something...anything.
Yes I did. Did you?

You did not rate it based on information, nor did you state that you were rating it as a '1' for lack of information. The preferred tactic for such is to wait until there is enough information to make a reasoned judgment.

You sir, did not.

I have enough hope that this book will attract new gamers into the fold that I am willing to await information before giving it a summary dismissal. Goodness knows that I have played with my share of female players, and would like seeing more people, of all genders, brought into the game rather than summarily dismissing it themselves as 'geek stuff.'

So...are they going to follow up with a book on how to find yourself a gamer girl? :p

Looks like someone doesn't know the Law of Attraction. :)

"How to Apply Nuclear Physics in Your Life to GET YOUR GAMER GIRL!"

1). Read this . . .

"For intelligence cleaveth unto intelligence; wisdom receiveth wisdom; truth embraceth truth; virtue loveth virtue; light cleaveth unto light; mercy hath gcompassion on mercy and claimeth her own; justice continueth its course and claimeth its own; judgment goeth before the face of him who sitteth upon the throne and governeth and executeth all things."

2). Believe in it.

3). You will get your dream girl in your life.

Moral of the story: We attract whomever is like us to us. Unless you want to know how to do it consciously. ;)

Best thing about this thread: the name "Man Witch". Sheer perfection.

Also, the book looks amusing. I'd buy it for my gf, except she'd probably make me eat it or something. Which, of course, is why I love her so... :D
