amazon: Confessions of a Part-time Sorceress: A Hip Girl's Guide to the D&D Game

Shelly's been an associate brand manager for WotC working on Neopets and Duel Masters lines and the like.

True. She's been with WotC for several years now. It seemed like a natural fit for Shelly to write this book after she joined our Monday group. Besides being an accomplished writer, she has a fresh perspective and a great sense of humor. Anyone who has a female significant other who is curious about D&D should feel comfortable sharing this book.

Now to figure out who lurkinglidda actually is!

No mystery: I'm Linae Foster & I have been with WotC longer than Hasbro has. When you get around to reading Shelly's book you'll fall for the character named Lucy - she's based on moi.

Welcome! And glad to have you de-lurking!

More seriously, I forwarded the link to the Amazon page for the book to my wife with a humorous comment. She used to play D&D back in her college days but has since left roleplaying for reading sci-fi generally. I've tried getting her back to the table but she ducks and weaves around the issue being noncommital. No big deal. She probably won't sit down to game until our son is old enough, by which time I'll be teaching him the game, and she won't have watching over him as an excuse. :heh: Getting both parents to a gaming table when a young child in in the picture and they aren't the host is a challenge.

If I got this book for her, she might end up giving me the look, if you know what I mean.
