Amazon: Last War (Eberron) and Complete Champion

Complete Champion was originally named Complete Divine II. Make of that what you will.
Hmm...then I guess I'll have to hope that nature-based casters get a better look than they did in Complete Divine, despite the fact that the name seems to exclude them :(

Just Ari. And not for calling this an overreaction (which I agreed that this is), but for being one of the most-published WotC of next year, and, thus, obviously very biased on anything WotC-related.

Well, I'd like to think I've always been pretty good about admitting to any potential bias where I think there's a conflict of interest.

That said, I'm not entirely certain where my (potential) bias comes into this discussion. I didn't make any claims about Drow of the Underdark except to say that people were overreacting to it. If you agree with that, why the need to discuss bias at all? If I was going on about it being a cool book, sure, I'd expect people to assume I have some personal bias. But I honestly don't see how it was relative to the prior portions of the discussion.

It was one thing when he was a freelancer who wrote one book per year for WotC; now that he's writing 4-5 of them per year, he's practically their employee (and apparently privy to 4E information... or lack thereof).

Heh. I wish I was a WotC employee. It would solve a lot of problems for me. :)

And no, I'm not privy to any specific info on 4E. I just know what I've worked on/am working on, and none of it is 4E-related.

I'm not Ari's lawyer or confidant, but looking back at his comment to you, I don't see where his relationship with WotC has anything to do with it. While you bandy the word "bias" around you haven't clarified exactly what the nature of the bias is.

EDIT--And I see Ari can speak for himself pretty well.

Indeed, but the effort is still much appreciated. :)

Do you have a source for that?

It was actually mentioned in the Dragon article. And, since it's public knowledge already, I feel safe enough confirming it directly as well. ;) The book was, indeed, called Complete Divine II when I first got on the project.

It's the second drow-related WotC product within the first 6 months, the first being Expedition to the Demonweb Pits. That's actually more drow-related books than we had dragon-related books in the first 6 months of this year. You know, the Year of the Dragon?
Joining the pile-on to say: You're a liar and I hate you!! :D

Races of the Dragon in January. Red Hand of Doom in February. Player's Handbook II (dragon shaman) in May.

Give me a page count on RHoD compared to Expedition to the Demonweb Pits. PH2 certainly doesn't count as a dragon-related book because of one class that takes up, what, 5 pages of it? (I don't have the book myself, admittedly)

EDIT: Editted out unnecessary inflammatory comment. I need to calm down. And sleep more than 5 hours a night.

I wouldn't count PH2 as a dragon-themed book, but nor would I only take the first six months of the year into account when evaluating the number of dragon-themed products for 2006:

These are all pretty solidly focussed on dragons:
  • Races of the Dragon
  • D&D Miniatures: War of the Dragon Queen set
  • Fantastic Locations: Dragonsdown Grotto
  • Dragons: Worlds Afire
  • D&D Icons: Gargantuan Black Dragon
  • Dragons of Faerûn
  • D&D Icons: Colossal Red Dragon
  • Dragon Magic
  • D&D Limited Edition Chess Set

Red Hand of Doom and Monster Manual IV both probably contain enough dragon-related content to be added to the list, and we have yet to see Dragonmarked...
