Subject: AMBER Amber DRPG Forum at GoO

Just a quick note:

We have recently added an Amber Diceless RPG forum to our message
boards. It is the "official" place for all community discussion
regarding the DRPG revitalisation. We will, of course, be active here
as well, but our new forum is the central location.

You can visit the forum at: http://www.guardiansorder.com/amber

Now if they could just finish Game of Thrones... I'd be happy.

Pfft...how about Tekumel? :\ :] ;) :) :D

I love GoO. I've been impressed with everything I've ever bought from them (SAS TS, TM, BESM), but I'm getting really tired of waiting for Tekumel :\ . It's like Hero 5E was for 3 years.

It's coming.....soon.....

no REALLY.....it's coming out....

soon....

:sigh: :\

I would like to see it more as a campaign setting in d20.

HERESY!

Quite frankly, I don't think it can be done.

The first time an Amberite PC says, "I want to shadowwalk to find a world where magic works like this a D20 DM would be completely hosed.

Amber DEMANDS a very rules-light system.

Amber DRPG will go on under GoO.

A d20 version of the game is very likely too. The present project (or, should I say, at this stage, floating idea) is to publish a second edition and supplements for Amber DRPG, and a d20 Amber version (the d20 market is just too big to be ignored) without supplements. A self-contained core book. Obviously, if a d20 Amber game was to become a hit, then the "no supplement" part would be reconsidered.

A no support game is bound to become a dust collector on the shelf, but I would still buy it. I love Amber and played a home made version all through highschool. I have the diceless version, but don't know anyone interested in playing it.

Amber DRPG survived very well without much support: not only is it still played, but it's had several dedicated cons running for years. What other game can say the same? D&D, okay, and?

Not a dust collector by any means. This said... Will it become more popular with more supplements? I hope. :D

As for a d20 version... who knows. I'm curious but not really interested.
