Amulet of Mighty Fist's ....expensive?

I'm looking at the Amulet of Mighty Fist's in the SRD, and its price seems kind of high. Is triple the cost of an equivalent magic weapon really warranted here?

Well, it's essentially a +5 enhancement on every single part of a monk, and druids can use it to boost their attacks while in Wild Shape, or it could be plopped on an animal companion or special mount/etc to boost it's abilities.

But yeah, I don't know if I'd buy one ...

Then it is priced correctly. ;)

It effects all natural weapons of the wearer. That is needed since a monk can use a lot of different surfaces for their unarmed strikes.

Highly overpriced for a monk.

Even if it was the same cost as a normal weapon for the bonus it could still be argued to be too expensive since it is taking up a slot that a person with an enchanted weapon would still have open. But since a monks attack does more than most weapons having it be the same price is probably ok.

Of course it is the same slot as natural armor and the wisdom boost item. :( It looks like someone out there hates the monk.

So can I just enchant my fists, and then strike with them only? Cuz I'm still just as effective as a monk, but I didnt have to pay 3x market value.

Yeah, but if your hands are full you don't gain the enhancement benefits.

It's also really good for those rich creatures with a load of natural attacks.

Do not enchant your fists, enchant your monks unarmed strike. You can use magic weapon on it and the greater version on it at least.

Hah, honestly by the RAW I think the only thing stopping you from enchanting your unarmed strike is the fact that it can't be masterwork.
A monk’s unarmed strike is treated both as a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.

Yeah, like Druids.

For a Druid who likes to Wildshape and roll into melee it's worth every cp.

And then some.
