Amusing Brew Names, Brought to you by MS Brewing Co.

First Post
I've gotten an idea for a series of in-jokes in my game that I'm going to be starting. The idea first came to be with the idea of a rum called Captain El's, and a picture of a wizard in robes smoking a pipe with his foot on a cask. So I decided to try and make it a whole brewery in my campaign, the Mary Sue Brewing Company. I thought I would come tap the fine minds here at EN World to help be out. The idea is to name the vintages after characters or stories in popular culture that could be seen as more professional examples of the Mary Sue Phenomenon, of the authors placing themselves as the heroes of their fantasy worlds.

The Fine Vintages of The Mary Sure Brewing Company:
Captain El's Rum
Skyywalker Vodka

You perhaps need not look further than Reality itself. In Syracuse, New York, there is a microbrewery called the Middle Ages Brewing Company (http://www.middleagesbrewing.com/) that puts out brews with names like "Impaled Ale," "Grail Ale," "Beast bitter," "Druid Fluid," "Ye Olde Kilt Tilter," "Wailing Wench," and other fine hops prducts.

Wesley's Crusher
El Gin-ster

In any case, make sure you've got a bottle of the Stone Brewing Company's Arrogant Bastard Ale at your game table.

amusing Brew names, eh?

In regards to the OP's title line, I wish my parents had thought of something better... :p

Dragon's Breath (worked in Quest for Glory)

Orcus Pale (ale)

Baatezu Stout

I'm a homebrewer and I have this problem each time I make a new batch of beer. What to call it? My last batch was brewed on 6-6-06, so I'm calling it "Beelzebrew".

Other ideas I've had:

Thac0hol
Potion of Blur (instead of making you blurry it makes everything you see blurry)

Heh, My Family's award winning homebrew is "Morr Beer". Ask for it by name!

In every campaign I ever run with players of drinking age, I bring a six-pack, and hand them out when they get to the tavern scene. Makes the game much more interesting.

Old Upchuck's Thick and Chunky

Guinness Extra Stoat

ElementAle*

Conan the Beerbarian

Dire Brau

*Ooh. I think it's been done before, but a beer elemental? Just to mess with people? Or maybe just a minor water spirit inhabiting a bar that occasionally gets in the ale.

That site is awesome. Stealing about a half-dozen of those for my home campaign. (Hey, it's set in a human/dwarven kingdom. Beers all around!)
