Pathfinder 1E An azata taking residence in golarion?

Pharos

First Post
Greetings everyone.
Now my favourite type of outsiders are the azata as they embody the ideals of freedom, adventure, travel and independence. As such I would like to try incorporating one into Golarion as it is my main setting for adventuring. However I've never as of yet tried to incorporate an outsider into the setting as I'm not sure how he would fit and interact with mortals.

I would like something like an azata Ghaele of whom takes the appearance of a idealized human as to better fit in. He is a kind hearted crusader who take joy in the thrill of adventure and questing, the hunting out of evil creatures and helping out of those in need.

Just thought I'd edit in what I have for his canon background so far. I'm trying to find some ideas to flesh out his history so as to add more depth. I.e what he has achieved, people he has befriended, how has he grown etc.

Pharos is a crusading Ghaele whom, like all azatas was created and nourished by the influx of goodly mortal souls. The Elysium is his home plane. Driven by his desire to quest, help out the good and hunt down evil Pharos eventually left the Elysium and took to roaming the planes in search of folk to aid and evil to vanquish.

As of current he is known to have taken residence within the infamous planet Golarion in the guise of a tall, idealized elf with long darkish brown hair. He has taken upon himself the title of Sir Pharos, the roaming crusader.

Passions and Habits
Being an Azata Ghaele Pharos takes great joy in the fighting of evil and the helping of those in need. He always strives to better himself both physically and spiritually so that he is prepared to fight ever more stronger and terrible foes.
He also enjoys travel and sharinga good ol pint of ale with companions after a hard days work. Of all the gods he seems to revere Cayden the most.

Character personality and traits
-Enjoys a good laugh.
-Is an avid reader.
-He prefers a clean, quick death so as to prevent suffering.
-Always eager to learn new things.
-Strong of Will
-When in conversation he usually prefers to listen than to talk.
-Bold and Courageous

Edit: Adding in canon background so far.

1) Language: As an azata, he has truespeech, which does the following:
Truespeech (Su) All azatas can speak with any creature that has a language, as though using a tongues spell (caster level 14th). This ability is always active.
Now, reading is a little trickier... But he can prepare Comprehend Languages or even pick up the Helm of Comprehend Languages. I think that's still a thing.

2) Outsiders in Golarian in General: Golarian is home to numerous outsiders. Between the theocracy of Zon-Kuthon in Nidal, the wide-spread acceptance of diabolism in Cheliax, the domain of Treerazer in Kyonin, and, of course, the demonic legions of the Worldwound, many of these outsiders are horrible. A ghaele azata would have plenty to go on crusade against.

3) An errant ghaele: Ghaele azatas enjoy fighting evil, and seek to do so at every opportunity. Ghaele azatas are also actually bad-ass, and will easily destroy mundane foes. A ghaele who's seeking a worthy challenge might be aiding Kyonin against Treerazer, doing battle alongside the crusaders of Mendev against the Worldwound, or braving the depths of the Mwangi Expanse to hunt the Gorilla King. Assume that a ghaele is hunting major, dangerous threats. Because the ghaele will have already slain a small army of lesser threats with one Holy Word. Basically, use a ghaele the same way you'd use any sort of high-level good aligned cleric. Because he is one, with damage reduction and enhanced stabbing capabilities.

4) Ghaele in an adventuring party: Now this is where it gets dicey. If the other party members are strong enough to be his equals, then it's probably all good. But if they aren't? You're going to have an annoyed group of players really, really, quickly. Having a super-powered NPC following the party around is not good, especially if they understand how much better he is than they are. Because he's either going to overshadow them, or he's being an ass if he won't help them.

Now, if you want an azata in the party, I'd look at a Lyraken or a Bralani - something that's neat, but clearly on even footing with, or actually weaker than, the party. The game should be about the PCs, not about the awesome NPC that's hanging out with them.
