An Epic Problem: Legends Undone

From outside the material universe and centuries in the future, Divine Panarchus, the God of Paradox, perceives the opening moments of the Age of Opportunity. His incarnate avatar, who had been standing invisible and as immobile as a statue in the Observatory, now comes to life. "At last, the time, my time has arrived."

Amidst a burst of admixed divine and arcane energies accelerates to the point where time itself seems to come to a stop. He flies through the Observatory gate and, in the same moment, steps between the dragon and the angel into the second portal. Once through, he whispers a prayer to his greater self, "Divine Panarchus, for your glory, let me, your will on earth, grow to tower above the clouds. With a titan's majesty your enemies shall be laid low."

As time reasserts itself, Panarchus, his great wings blotting out the sun with an everchanging riot of color, parts the heavens with a word. A gout of flames descends, engulfing the ranks of the black-clad infantry. The firestorm is stirred by a shrieking gale as the avatar sweeps toward the monstrous black wyrm. Eldritch malevolence exudes from the Colossal staff, from which vicious spikes protrude, as the harbinger of chaos aims series of blows at the largest of the ebon dragons.
