An Interesting Experience

Llewelyn stay silent. He has not in any way acted superior to anyone else here. All he did was give his name and act politely. He would have to start hideing himself within these people. Why Rana disliked him he could not fathom.

Concerned by his silent response, Rana changes her tune. She extends her arms and puts them on his shoulders, then arches forward, looks him streight in the eyes, smiles, and talks to him softly.

"Oh, don't be that way. I didn't mean to be so harsh, just for you to understand Eadrick's oddities. It seems that he is with us, and we cannot change that. Lets just try to get along with minimal fighting, ok? I, on the other hand, find your manner very appealing...

"A short while ago, the Princess Liriel of Degal was kidnapped.
Liriel? What did you just say? Liriel is being held hostage? And you kept me waiting here? Llewelyn stands with a motion so sudden he topples the chair he was seated in. What do you know about this? You must have known something before hand or we wouldn't have been brought together. What is going on? The Elven Lord is shaken and his eyes wild. Obviously this princess means a great deal to him. His hand reaches for his blade.

(OOC: obviously takes place before the meeting)
Well. That's much better prehaps we should find a place to "talk this over". Llewelyn smiles and takes her hand only to be stopped by the appearance of Alcar.

Eedrick of the Blackwoods: Human/Male (Ranger/Rogue/Fighter)

Eedrick walks past the others without saying a word as their host escorts him and the others to a more comfortable room. If he heard any of the words spoken after his departure his demeanor betrays nothing.

Finding a set he looks at their unhooded host, the face was familiar and recognizable to Eedrick but he couldn’t place the name. After the first few lines of his opening speak familiarity sets in and Eedrick is certain that he is indeed the advisor of the Queen of Degal, his own trips inside Degal made him realize this to be true. He was uncertain about his association with the Emperor, though known and related to the Emperor Eedrick was too much of an irritation to be kept close and his self-imposed exile was often looked upon as a blessing.

Eedrick rolled his eyes at the mention of the Degal princess, They have many things coming to them if they think I care about her. The news of the Emperor was unexpected and questioned. News rarely reached him and his green eyes darted to his fellow countrymen and women looking for confirmation of this potentially dire news.

Eedrick find himself answer James’ questions, “No troubles but I would expect little. News rarely reaches me so I would suspect an assassin’s blade would have even more trouble. Why are we here?” His hand gestures make it apparent he is talking about the two groups.

Rana breaks out of her concentration on Llewelyn and quickly turns to Alcar, following him in and resting on a pile of pillows. When Llewelyn jumps up, Rana reaches up and puts her hand on the hand grabbing for his sword.

"Calm down, my prince. There is nothing you can cut up here that will do you any good. Alcar, you have given us little to go on. What do we know and where do we start? By the way, Deagel, were any of the crime families hit? I'd like to know if I should shake these men's little bunny paws after I turn them into living dogfood. (stifles giggling)

Eedrick of the Blackwoods: Human/Male (Ranger/Rogue/Fighter)

Eedrick smiling out of politeness at her joke leans close to Rana’s ear and whispers with an apologetic tone so that only she can hear, “Milady, can you confirm what he says about the emperor’s health?”

"Please, settle yourself, Prince Llewelyn, be assured that had I any notion of where she was or exactly who had taken her, I'ld have sent every hero I could find straight to her, yourself included!" James sighed and coughed a few more times after speaking so loudly.

"I knew only that something was going to happen, and had warned both leaders of it.. I had originally invited a good 3 dozen heroes such as yourselves to come here, hoping that you would arrive before anything had happened, and we could perhaps end whatever threat I was feeling before it happened.. as you can see, that hope has been dashed. Now, all that we can do is attempt to find out who has taken Liriel, for it is obvious they are the same group that has poisoned the Emporer and plots against our entire land."

He turns his head to face Eedrick "I know of your past, young Eedrick, and of your feelings on... certain parties, but this is a matter which transcends nationalities and old differences. For years I have been trying to unite the peoples of Degal and Flynn, and I have been hearing tell.. vague rumours at first, though coming more often - and with proof- in recent years.. that a great enemy wishes this entire land as their own. I know you have little cause to trust me, but at least admit that the possibility I am telling the truth is reason enough to work together."

Turning his attention back to the larger group, Alcar continued "The temples and mage towers have been frantically trying to find out all they can, but so far what little we've been able to come up with are small bits.. Whoever is doing this, they came from, and returned to, the north. I have heard tell of a nation up there, beyond the range that any sane man would travel, deep in the glaciers."

As he was about to say something else, a man suddenly appeared before them with a small puff of air (teleport), dressed in slashed, bloodied armour. In one hand he held a scrunched up scroll, and With his other hand shaking, he held out a piece of paper to Alcar, but groaned as he did so, and collapsed to the floor.. with a gasp and a final sigh, his muscles relaxed and it was plain that he had died of whatever greivous wound he'ld had.

Eedrick of the Blackwoods: Human/Male (Ranger/Rogue/Fighter)

Eedrick stares the man not denying the fact he doesn’t trust him, I’ve seen no proof to make your beliefs true. He hesitates before he voices his concerns and forgets his words as the messenger arrives. He waits for the messenger’s note to be read out loud but the messenger collapses to the floor he quietly speaks his own callused mind, “Obviously we won’t need to kill the messenger.”

OOC: Does Eedrick recognize the armor? Say like maybe as a possible uniform?

Prince Llewelyn

He is just sitting down again when the man appears from thin air. He reaches to catch him but is a bit to far away. Madness! Now we have this. The prince says and falls back into Rana's arms. He leans lightly on her his eyes moist but not tearing. Thank you Rana. He says softly to her.

Rana tells Eadrick "I cannot. I had been away for a couple weeks before being called here."

The moment the man appears, Rana bolts up into a combat position and shouts "Muta Cunicu--- ...oh, oops...not a bad guy." Sorry. I'm a bit on edge at this point. . Rana carefully sits down again, lies back a bit, and steadys her breathing to get her heart rate back down.

She thinks to herself Ooh, dizzy. Stood up too fast. Maybe that last ale was a bad idea....

[I posted at the same time as Argent. I guess she sits back down and then he sits with her] When Llewlyn joins her she puts her arm around him. "You know her well?"
