An Interesting Experience

What can I say? The elvish lord says smileing I attract the finer things in life. But amidst all this beauty lay a problem. Why are we here? I can only imagine this is a diplomatic mission of some priority if I and the bard are called to attend.

Eedrick of the Blackwoods: Human/Male (Ranger/Rogue/Fighter)

Eedrick speaks loud enough for all to hear his face shows annoyance, “ I doubt this is diplomatic mission of any type, only a mad man would think about trying to send me on one of those.” He turns to Llewelyn, “So I would pack some soft sole boots just in case.”

Rowena
"That was beautiful. You exceed your own reputation. It would be great to work with you. I am Rowena Eldredd, soilder of the true path. Or perhaps better known as cousin of Eedrick the Ranger,"

"Thank you." Calixte says, with a slight bow of her head. "Soldier of the true path? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that, though I do expect that working with you would be a pleasure." She smiles.

Llewelyn
That was Amazing! You must play again for me some time. Salutations my Lady.

"Perhaps I shall." Calixte says. "Greetings to you, as well, though I believe I missed your name?"

Llewelyn
Your music is only rivaled by your beauty.

"No, no." Calixte says, shaking her head and smiling. "My art exceeds my poor talent with the flute. I'm more at home with a brush in my hand than this old thing." She indicates the flute.

Granite
"Thas fair pretty, tha is,"

"Thank you, sir dwarf," Calixte says, bowing slightly. "It is an honor to hear as such coming from the mouth of one of your kind. So few dwarves have an appreciation for music."

Llewelyn

Calixte simply shrugs. "I can't say why we are here, though I imagine we'll find out soon enough."

Eedrick
"I doubt this is diplomatic mission of any type, only a mad man would think about trying to send me on one of those."

"Oh?" Calixte asks. "And why would that be?"

Eedrick of the Blackwoods: Human/Male (Ranger/Rogue/Fighter)

Eedrick replies to the elven bard with a matter of fact tone, “Cause then he would earn my ire and I sincerely doubt anyone would want to do that. As to why you two are here I honesty do not know. Maybe they where afraid that warriors from both our countries together would be openly hostile to each other and this dire and grave issue would be left unsettled.”

Brother Shatterstone said:
, So can you comment on your recent activities?”

To Eadrick: Rana lifts her empty mug to call attention to it."Not enough of these yet for me to tell you that. I'm not supposed to talk about most of my exploits. Certain uptight politicians seem to think that certain tactics might give them a bad name."

To Calixte: That was beautiful. this is one high-class mission. This sort of in-combat inspiration is one of those luxuries the army doesnt usually pay for. I'm Rana, its a pleasure to meet you Calixte."

Rana (Human Female Ranger/Sorceror/Eldritch Knight)

To all: "Calm down, everyone! It is neither unusual nor untoward that they have gathered group with a diverse group of skills for so important a mission. Fast-talking and royal connections are handy no matter how switft your sword. C'mon lets stop standing around here in full battle-gear. There has got to be somewhere more comfortable here to wait and relax."

Ah forgive me mylady. I am Prince Llewelyn Starspire of Degal. He bows again.
he turns to Eadrick You and I seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot. I am as much a warrior as any fighter. I am also a diplomat. I am also not going to tollerate your snipes and rudeness much longer.

Eedrick of the Blackwoods: Human/Male (Ranger/Rogue/Fighter)

Eedrick nods his head in respectfully to Rana, “I understand milady I don’t like to talk to much about my exploits either.” He can’t help but glance at Llewelyn as he finishes his thought, “Actions are always better than words.”

Eedrick admires Rana realizing that her ability to speak to a crowd reminds him of his cousin, Rowena. He nods his head in agreement to her words also, “I imagine your right about being comfortable.” He nods his head towards the door, “I’ll be outside if they should ever need me, milady.”

He gives Llewelyn an open look of contempt as he heads for the door doing his best imitation of a noble dismissing a servant with the wave of a hand.

"Nice to meet you, Rana." Calixte says with a slight bow. "Indeed, inspiration is something that is always useful. It allows we mere mortals to exceed our limits in ways we never imagined."

Llewelyn
Ah forgive me mylady. I am Prince Llewelyn Starspire of Degal.

Calixte smiles. "Please feel free to dispense with the formalities. I suspect that we're going to be working together for awhile, at least, and it's best to be on a more casual level with those you're working with. It moves things along a little faster."

Eedrick
"Actions are always better than words."

"I rather doubt that." Calixte says. "There are times when action is better than word, certainly, but word can sometimes prevail where a sword can only bring failure."

Granite Alehearth, dwarf drunken master

*When Rana mentions this being a high class mission, Granite makes a sound that sounds suspiciously like a snort, though he tries to hide it behind slurping down more ale. The aura of annoyance and irritation between the prince and the ranger rubs Granite the wrong way though, and he tries to defuse it.*

"Hey now, none 'o tha high and mighty talk this early in th' mornin; I haven't had enough ale yet. None o' ye are any better than th' rest of ye, and the sooner ye learn that the better. We'll all work toge'er or we're all be beggared one way or t'other. And if ye can't keep yer tempers and wicked glances to yerself then box bot' yer ears and put yer bot' in sep'rat corners to cool off. Now, all thins being equal, yer look like respon'sble people, I've 'eard good things 'bout ye, so I shouldn't have to do anything, ye ken?"
