What is LBB anyway? :erm:
Little Brown Books. The first edition of D&D, so called because it was a box containing 3 small booklets of brownish color. IIRC, beginning with the 6th printing, the books became white, so that many of the existing copies of the LBB are actually white.

I hear they are shutting down D&D in 2014 to make way for a new intergalactic superhighway.

...But I may be confusing my hobbies.

Plus DDI is "going dark" in 2014.

That's just for Dragon and Dungeon articles right? Not the whole system?

I'm not worried about getting new content, just that the existing stuff won't go away.

So as of 4E it seems that the ability to take your books away IS a real possibility. I wonder how many people will still play 4E without any kind of electronic support. The DDI goes dark forever and you are left with just what you have in print or saved as pdf. What will you do?

Spend the six bucks a month I spend on DDI to get the hardcover books I need off of Ebay or Amazon. ;-)

I'm not worried.

I am not worried either since I have all the books already. The local used book store has several 4e HS and DMGs pretty cheap right now. I have considered picking up a couple extra PHs for future use. I currently have 2 PHs.

Unmentionable things.

Also, keep playing.

With a frowny face.

The same play I play 3.X/Pathfinder.

Keep on truckin'.

We don't use DDI, we use my books; although we do use a hacked and fully-updated offline version of the character builder with a lot of homebrewed material programmed in.

Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen the product schedule for D&D not laid out for the next six months. So very GW.

Unless they're not releasing anything new for the next six months or so at all, which I find very hard to believe.
