Angel 3/26 (Warning: SPOILERS!)

It would be nice if the Gwen thing was setup for Gunn to go off with her into the sunset at some point, considering his relationship with Fred is on the rocks and he doesn't really seem to be more than a backup character at Angel Investigations. Of course I don't like Gunn, so I'm inclined to see signs of him leaving anywhere just out of wishful thinking.

Now if only they could off Fred too...

I actually like Fred. She gives a good contrast to the other darker characters. I didn't like her and Gunn together, but I like her character as an individual. And keeping Gwen around would be cool as it seems Wes is back for good. They have always had outside help at AI.

Okay, help me out here.

I ran into my house at 5 minutes after 9 PM and started the tape. So I missed the opening, pre-credit teaser. What happened? Seemed like it must have been a Cordy/Gang conversation about the baby, given what happens afterward. Somebody let me know.
The teaser was Cordy telling the gang about the baby. She said she wasn't hiding or anything but with all that has been going on she didn't want to be a distraction. Lorne enters and says something about a mystical pregnancy right under his nose and not a tingle. The gang speculates as to what happens. Connor gets offended. Cordy tells everyone that she senses the baby's goodness and love, there is a connection between the two of them. She turns around, looks at her belly as things (I can only describe it as either the worst stomach problem ever or she is gving birth to a giant spider) start to wiggle around push out under her skin (but not thru the skin). She tells the gang that baby will be here soon and "they will all see." Cue credits.

Dammit, it was a re-run on Space too. WTF?

Yeah, anyone know why it wasn't shown? (I'm also in Ontario).

The wildfeed for Angel didn't go out Tuesday morning like it usually does. I don't think it went out until Wednesday.

You missed my favorite line, where Gunn tells Angel, "Surprise! Youre gonna have a grand-spawn." :D

LOL! You're right, that line was hilarious. :) This ep was a little short on one-liners but the ones they did use were really good.

Yeah that and the one at the end were about the only good one liners in the ep. (Thought last week's ep had some great ones.)

I'm of two minds about Gwen. I do not want mutants and X-Men in my Buffy/Angel-verse. The instant they explain her away as something supernatural/metaphysical--her greatgrandfather was an imp, or her ancestors were cursed by a shaman, or something--I'll at least be inclined to give her a shot.

So long as she's a mutant who went to a "school for the gifted," though, she's simply an unwelcome intrusion in an otherwise fantastic--and (more or less) consistent--series.

Well, she's not as much of a blatent ripoff of X-Men as Doc on Buffy was...he WAS Toad.
