Good ep IMO.
Fight scene's were decent, Conner isn't so irritating when he's cheerful.

Illyria was fun.

Ooooh. GREAT episode. Good Angel scenes. Spike explaining the rules to Illyria was fun "Do not touch the clipboard."

Good to see Connor is still well adjusted, after seeing the past, and understands what Angel did.

Lots of good Wes scenes too.

Okay, so I really liked it.

Next week's looks interesting.

Despite not much really happening, besides Connor and the others getting their memories back, I thought this episode was great.

Ahhh, to see Amy Acker have some good material to work with. Vincent did really great too... great writing for Connor. More proof that it wasn't either of their faults that their characters sucked. Though I still think Amy should put on a few pounds... what can I say, I don't like thinking I would break a woman if I touched her.

I found it interesting that Illyria asked if Wesley was still Wesley with or without the memories. Ironically, the answer seems to be a definite yes, as Wesley once again goes behind Angel's back, doing what he thinks is right. It's an interesting contrast to Connor, who is most assuredly not the same person he was when he had his memories.

By the way, random conjecture on the finale here. Am I the only one that thinks Illyria will just go back in time to before Fred died and bring her back at her own expense? I don't know why, but that just seems to be the feeling I'm getting what with Illyria learning about what it is to be human, and loyal. Especially with her and Wesley sort of working together.

Missed the earliest parts, but;
Conner is attacked, his "parents" bring him to W&H, Angel rebuffs him, liason says it wasn't the SP's doing, but someone else.
Demon's attack Conner, they fight them off, Angel learns they belong to Warlock Blah (not his real name. Warlock Blah is the leader of the Alter Memory ritual, and wants that Warlock ina bottle killed, and Conner is the one prophesied to do it.
There's a Plot Device, er... window cube thingee, the Plot Device can restore altered memories to someone if it's broken.
During all this, Wesley becomes more and more curious of what is going on, and of course Angel won't tell him.
Conner is locked in a room with Warlock in a Bottle, during the fight he's losing, until Wes confronts Angel, and ends up breaking the Plot Device. Conner kills Warlock in a bottle.
Oh, and Wes thought Angel did the mind wipe as a deal with W&H, offering up Fred in exchange.

Interesting take on things. I saw it as Connor realizing what had happened and simply acting as if his memories hadn't been restored, just so he can come back when Angel's not expecting it and rip his non-beating heart out. Or maybe I'm just cynical

Um, it wasn't a Warlock in the bottle.

It was Sah'jahn, the demon that was working (IIRC) with Holst to screw over Angel in season... err... 3, I think. He was responsible for altering the prophesies so that Wesley would think Angel would kill Connor, which made Wesley decide to kidnap baby Connor. Sah'jahn did this because the real prophesy was that Connor would kill Sah'jahn. And now, finally, he has.

I definitely feel that Connor "knew" at the end.

BTW, do you people think that Angel learned his lesson in not messing with Wes with while his 'pet' demonette is around?

Illyra was fun. I liked how she humilated Spike by standing on his head

I was fairly certain that Connor understood Angel and telegraphed his understanding without making it explicit to avoid having to discuss old issues.

It hit me just how much Wes was effected by the removal of the Conner reality from everyones mind, a lot happened to him in that reality. A lot of it he was re-living or at least going through again from Fred's death.

Wonderful show.

A underlining thought was free choice - when given two memories, which one do you believe, as smurf Fred said. Conner took the one of happiness.
