Angel 4/23 - Spoilers

This was when 'Jasmine' was born. In the bright light, as she was appearing, you could see lots of tentacles swirling in the mass, most likely something closer to her true form, if she actually has one. The more I think about it, the more I think she's a Cthulu like being, but that's me.

Well she's obviously old, powerful, and multidimensional. Beings like that havent been given much detail in Buffyland apart from the overused catchall "demon". She does seem to be similiar to Glory in a number of ways. But perhaps she does exist in some physical cthulu-esque form in some distant dimension and had to incarnate here.
It raises the question...the story she told to the cast about being a "power that was"....since we now know she was worshiped in this other dimension ages ago it makes you wonder...which is her home plane? Is she from here, got defeated,. moved there and is moving back, or vicer versa or what?

AH, I see I'm not the only one who thought of that...
I've actually got several theories on any relations between 'Jasmine' and 'The First'

1) They're competitors and will eventually turn against each other, giving the heroes (Of both series, working together) a chance to finally beat them.
2) One of them is working for the other. I think this is the least likely, though.
3) They're the same being.
4) They don't even know about each other, b/c they're so self-absorbed.

Also, just a thought - If Jasmine now basically controls all of California, how's that going to affect Sunnydale? It's in California, IIRC, so shouldn't there be Jasmites popping up on Buffy? I mean, they watch TV and listen to the Radio, why aren't they hearing about this messiah-like being appearing in LA and taking over the state? Maybe next week?


Jasmine, AKA the Devourer, AKA the Beastmaster. real name... Well, I recall this mythical goddess being that ruled the land, she made good people love her, and then sent them off to do evil things. Sound familiar? If only I can find that mythology book and get the name.
I Doubt it'll be the same name, though. I'm pretty sure Joss'll do one of two things: Never tell us the name, or make one up of his own.

Saw it last night (Thursday)!

I have a feeling that Jasmine is The First evil of another plane and that she will be going against Buffy's First for domination of the Buffyverse. You see the place were she came from, a burned out husk of a world, nothing there!

I want the stats of those demons!

Damn, that's a good point. Except, aside from Faith, there's been no indication that Joss will tie the two shows together. You're right, though! People in Sunnydale should be walking around hugging each other.

And the First should be either fighting or joining with Jasmine. It kinda doesn't make sense if you assume the shows are connected.

Could also be why they are showing reruns of Buffy at this time, so not to mess with timeline, so when Angel shows for the last Buffy show.

Which reminds me how about that 'grren light' that appears as Jasmine is eating, is this a relationship to Dawn!
